This fantastic shepherd’s hut offers a luxurious stay situated just a short from the picturesque market town of Settle. The property is located within beautiful private gardens, just a stone’s throw from the river Ribble set amid the stunning backdrop of Langliffe Scar. This beautifully appointed hut has been tastefully furnished and includes all the home comforts necessary to make your getaway experience unique and special.
These shepherd’s huts each have their own individual area for storage of your bikes within your own secure lockable stable. Great for the more adventurous riders out there.
Swaledale is full of character and offers couples and friends a luxury glamping retreat whilst being ideally located to explore all that the Yorkshire Dales has to offer. The hut boasts underfloor heating and is open plan throughout. It features a plush king size bed, a delightful sitting area with wood burner to snuggle up in front of on those colder evenings, a modern kitchenette with enough storage and workspace to prepare a meal for two. This well equipped hut also has has an en-suite toilet and shower room with complimentary, locally made shower products. The enclosed, south facing garden includes a picnic bench along with a cast iron firepit/BBQ providing a fantastic space to relax and have a drink al fresco style after a day’s adventuring. With the shepherds hut situated just a short walk from the centre of Settle, the local pubs and restaurants are within easy reach.
With Swaledale as a base exploring the vast countryside of The Yorkshire Dales couldn’t be easier, there are many local walks to explore should you want to set off on foot from the hut and the famous Yorkshire 3 peaks are right on the doorstep. Explore the beautiful Forest of Bowland, which is full of bike trails and fantastic, scenic walks. The Lake District National Park is also within easy reach at just an hour’s drive away. Alternatively, the bustling market town of Skipton is a short drive away, as is The National Trust site of Malham Cove. The Settle to Carlisle railway line takes you through stunning scenery, and if you are lucky, you may be able to catch a steam train. For those who like touring, the Yorkshire Dales and Trough of Bowland are within easy reach.
For the nature lover, in this peaceful location, there is a range of wildlife to see, squirrels, stoats, kingfishers and the occasional otter can be seen very nearby, to name just a few.
Although not having a TV, the superfast broadband still allows you to stream to your phone.
