Welcome Cottages

A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

This fantastic cottage is ideal for exploring all that south Devon has to offer from quaint harbours to National Parks.

September Cottage in a quiet location, just a few minutes’ walk of the harbour where there are numerous shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs. The semi-detached property oozes character and charm throughout, with beamed ceiling and wood burner in the living room, you’ll be sure to feel right at home. The property has been decorated and furnished to offer good accommodation for families or friends to get together. This humble abode dates back from 1679, and has a small unused cottage in the garden which was once home to the stone mason that crafted All Saints Church, which is close by. There is a small enclosed courtyard with garden furniture which can be accessed from the back door with 7 steps up to the sitting-out area.
Brixham has many activities all year round, including the pirate festival, the trawler race and so much more. The harbour shops and restaurants are a 3-minute stroll away, or why not take a boat trip to Torquay and Dartmouth for a day’s fishing? The coastal path is easily accessed, leading to lovely beaches and coves, and the popular Fishcombe Cove is at the end of the road. Brixham forms the third part of Torbay, the other two being Torquay and Paignton. The bay is known as the English Riviera due to its unique micro-climate. Walkers and navigators can explore the depths of Dartmoor, spot wild Dartmoor ponies and cross ancient stone bridges spanning the clear bubbly waters of the River Dart, as well as other rivers. You can also feel the somewhat eerie presence of the tors, seven rocky hills presiding majestically over the moors. Take the ferry across to Dartmouth, the neighbouring town to Brixham and make your way across the River Dart. At the mouth of the river you will find Kingswear and Dartmouth castles, both with the rocky waters of the estuary lapping at their feet. There are many National Trust properties nearby and Agatha Christie’s summer house is also well worth a visit. Beach ½ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

September Cottage is a lovely old cottage. The kitchen is well equipped and the owner left us tea and cake ready for our arrival which was nice. The kitchen is well equipped. The street can be a little noisy at night. There is a nice outside area at the rear handy for wet beach gear. Excellent location for Brixham high street and harbour. Parking pass is very handy. Would definitely visit again in the future.

Great position , as described you do have to pull over. You enter into the lounge and it’s upstairs to a big bedroom and kitchen and bathroom. Up some very narrow steep steps to the second bedroom. Kitchen well equipped and if we had any gripe it would be too little work surface to prepare food. We found instructions about rubbish confusing! Noisy church nearby otherwise great
