What we love

As the sun sets over Seion, you too can share its spectacular views of Snowdonia. Your dog may well want to climb the hills…

All on ground floor: Living/dining area/kitchen. 1 double (5ft) bedroom. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Stunning countryside views of Snowdonia and the Isle of Anglesey, delightfully bright, very comfortable, smart and contemporary interiors and a peaceful setting ideally located for exploring this beautiful corner of North Wales make these three converted traditional farm buildings the perfect base for relaxing break. A 4-mile drive leads to Caernarfon, home to a magnificent castle and the Welsh Highland Railway for scenic journeys into the heart of the Snowdonia mountains, whilst from Bangor, 2 miles, bridges cross the Menai Strait to Anglesey, where Beaumaris Castle, the butterfly farm, sea zoo and glorious sandy beaches for water sports are among the island’s many attractions. And at the foot of Snowdon, Llanberis, 8 miles, boasts a lakeside and mountain railway as well as a slate museum and huge range of outdoor activities. Snowdonia’s most exciting activity is within easy reach, Zip World Velocity, is the worlds longest and fastest zip line which sees riders fly solo through the skies at over 100mph. Once again we enjoyed our stay in this cottage which was ideally located for seeing this part of North Wales. In general the cottage is well equipped and cosy but apart from the handbooks for the electrical equipment there were no instructions which in our case did not matter as we had stayed before. We found that the extractor in the bathroom did not seem to work and you had to be careful when climbing out of the bath as the spout of the tap protrudes by several inches. The internet is extremely slow. It is in a slightly remote location and you have to drive a few miles to reach restaurants, shops etc but it is very quiet with very little traffic noise from the nearby single track road.

Roomy well equipped, bright, with a nice rural outlook. We found the bed just a bit saggy in the middle, but this is a small gripe. Be prepared to have to drive to Bangore, about 10mins, for supplies, as you will be in the middle of farming country. The property gives you easy access to the Snowdon Mountain railway and Lakes railway as well as the entire Lakes district, and Anglesea is just across the bridge. We loved our stay and would go again if we could. The owner is next door and is very helpful.
