Yes down and alleyway which needs a torch but it is secret and a peaceful haven in centre of town Parking a bit limited but Jo gave local knowledge and we had no problem Warm and cosy, lights and electric blanket on and flowers on arrival Jo and his family were so friendly and welcoming Advised on places to visit and best place to eat (Indian restaurant) Beach shops and pubs only a short walk

We enjoyed our stay. The owner couldn’t be more helpful. It was very well equiped and had everything we needed.

The cottage is in a great location; however to access in the evening you need to negotiate a dark passageway. This was not the cleanest holiday accommodation we have stayed in. There were lots of cobwebs – old cobwebs covered in dust. There was also a lack of cleaning materials and the vacuum cleaner in the accommodation was old with lots of bits missing; plus it was clear it had not been emptied for a long time; we had to use it to clear up the cobwebs. It needs to be indicated to possible renters that there is a dehumidifier in the bedroom (which we switched off at night). This is quite noisy which with the addition of the plugged in air freshener is quite awful when you have paid y to stay somewhere for a week. If you have respiratory problems (I have mild asthma) this could be a serious issue and you need to consider this very seriously before an issue occurs. The accommodation is situated in a courtyard and the roof covered in ivy which means it is always at risk of dampness.we

A wonderful place to stay. When you open the gate, you find yourself in a peaceful garden with trees, birds, flowers and a Little pond, away from people and noice. And yet right outside, you have busses and Shanklin old town, tearooms, restaurents and stores. The house is very cosy, nice living room with a big window to the garden, good bed and a big bathroom. The kitcken is small, but everything you need was there. A perfect place for 2 people if you want to relax. A big thank you to the owners for the flowers in the living room and the kindnes we met.
