The cottage was very comfortable the only thing that let it down were the bathrooms and the cleanliness. Both bathrooms are in need of updating, they are tired and dirty looking and the bathroom downstairs could really do with a shower. We found the bedrooms very comfortable but there were a lot of cobwebs in the bedroom on the ground floor which had been there for some time. The lighting in the kitchen and lounge could also do with being better. It was winter when we stayed and the lighting in the kitchen really wasn't adequate for cooking. Having said that we would definitely stay at the cottage again, the location is idealic, the beds were very comfortable and overall we found the cottage comfortable.

Seascape cottage is situated in an idyllic location overlooking the village green in this very attractive Norfolk village. Unfortunately the accommodation didn’t equal that of the location. The lighting in the kitchen area is extremely poor and a serious safety issue exists when the inner glass of the oven door falls to the floor when the oven is at temperature and the door opened. The bath taps are stiff and very difficult to turn and the shower over the bath is non existent when there is no support for the shower head. There is also an excessive noise that vibrates throughout the cottage when running the bath hot water tap which is very disconcerting. The upstairs shower tray fills with water far quicker than it drains, inconveniently interrupting any shower and the hot tap in this bathroom is loose and not properly attached to the basin. The information folder is out of date, a menu available for the pub when the pub is closed and details for a mobile fish and chip van that now no longer visits. This cottage was not good value for money and lacked in essential and what should be considered prioritised maintenance.

The cottage was lovely, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only comment we would make is that the instruction book in the cottage is very out of date. The pub in the village has closed down seemingly sometime ago but the menu remains in the book!

Overall a good standard of accommodation in a great location. A few maintenance issues need looking at such as the leaky guttering over the back door and dripping hot water taps. A note to guests about the high pressure hot water might not go amiss either as a number of our party had issues with this. A well equipped kitchen and all of the essential items for holidaying with small children are provided e.g. highchair, cot and stairgate. Lovely and quiet with a large garden and a local play park. The ducks on the green opposite provided hours of entertainment too!

Lovely cottage looking across the green. Children enjoyed the playground and the ducks. It’s a shame the village pub has closed. Sad to see this happening all across the country. Well placed for short drives to Brancaster and Wells. Ideal for Holkham hall and Thursford.

A typical old Norfolk cottage overlooking the green with its stream and abundant baby ducklings. Just what we were looking for and close to our favourite places, Holkham Blakeney and shopping at Fakenham.
