This property is part of our English Country Cottages collection

An inspiring collection of properties chosen for their character, luxury and heritage, all graded 4 star and above.

Enjoy the shared wildflower meadow on site or take a trip to the Broads and explore their miles of waterways.

These stunningly presented, single-storey barn conversions (refs UKC1329, UKC1330 and UKC522) have a contemporary style that offers great accommodation for families or friends holidaying together. The properties are located in open countryside just over 4 miles away from the coastal village of Happisburgh with its iconic red and white striped lighthouse. Guests can enjoy the 1¼-acre grounds with a wildflower meadow and willow wigwams; explore the sandy unspoilt beaches of the Norfolk coast; marvel at the hundreds of seal pups at Horsey Gap Beach in the winter months; or visit the seaside town of Cromer, with its pier, and enjoy a day on the beach. Once you have explored the coast, venture to the Broads which are only a short drive away. Wroxham, known as the ‘Capital of the Broads’, lets visitors hire a day cruiser to see all the pretty Broads’ villages. For children, a day out to BeWILDerwood at Horning is a must; this outdoor adventure park has zip wires, jungle bridges and lots more. Weavers Way is just a short walk from the barns and is ideal for birdwatching or walking. There is a fishing lake just 1 mile away, and day fishing tickets can be purchased at the lake. Gardeners will enjoy a visit to East Ruston Old Vicarage Gardens with its acres of delightful and interesting gardens. There are National Trust properties in the region which are well a worth visit. Alternatively spend a day in the fine city of Norwich with its theatres, cathedrals, museums, outdoor market, cobbled streets and enjoy a fine array of shops and cafés. Walking, cycling, birdwatching, fishing and sailing are all available locally. Beach 5 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Peaceful location within short drive to local village and several beaches. Great base to tour north and south Norfolk. The barn is both unique and comfortable. Great home entertainment system, kitchen to die for and luxury bathrooms. Hot tub a great bonus

We stayed in the Seaglass Barn - Sea over Christmas and it was the perfect break. The accommodation is wonderful, modern, well equipped and homely all in one. The hot tub was a lovely extra too. We had a better than expected welcome hamper which contained far more than we could have expected. The living area was so spacious, but never felt cold as there is heating throughout the accommodation. The local area is very quiet, but this was perfect and there is a lovely walk along the Weaver's way a few minutes stroll down the road. The dog loved the walk and the stay also! Would recommend to anyone who wants a bit of piece and quiet with all mod cons. We will return! :-)

Very impressed with robes, slippers provided presumably because of hot tub. Welcome pack was totally amazing and so appreciated, we have been some places where not even salt and pepper was provided. We were very comfortable throughout our stay. My daughter had her 9 month old baby with her and we enquired if they by any chance had a bigger microwave as she could not get her bottle steriliser into the one provided. We had already devised a workaround and certainly didn’t expect a brand new microwave to be supplied. The location was beautiful but a little out of the way which may be a plus for many people wanting to get away from it all. We did struggle with finding facilities, such as supermarkets in the area and definitely would urge the owners to provide details of these along with nearby child or dog friendly restaurants, also takeaway premises.

We enjoyed a great week exploring Norfolk and the Sea Glass barns are a great base location for whatever you want to enjoy. The beaches near by are stunning and dog friendly. The Norfolk Broads are only a short drive also. The barns are well equipped and really modern, warm and comfortable. The welcome pack is a great bonus also.

Gorgeous barn. Big and spacious. Great to have an enclosed garden to keep the dogs in. Loved the little touches of having toiletries and particularly the bath robes. Would love to come again

Very rural location, off the beaten track. Nothing within walking distance, so had to drive everywhere. Nice accommodation, overpriced for the quality of finish. I personally wouldn’t class it as luxury accommodation although it does have the potential to get there with some work.
