These stunningly presented, single-storey barn conversions (refs UKC1329, UKC1330 and UKC522) have a contemporary style that offers great accommodation for families or friends holidaying together. The properties are located in open countryside just over 4 miles away from the coastal village of Happisburgh with its iconic red and white striped lighthouse. Guests can enjoy the 1¼-acre grounds with a wildflower meadow and willow wigwams; explore the sandy unspoilt beaches of the Norfolk coast; marvel at the hundreds of seal pups at Horsey Gap Beach in the winter months; or visit the seaside town of Cromer, with its pier, and enjoy a day on the beach. Once you have explored the coast, venture to the Broads which are only a short drive away. Wroxham, known as the ‘Capital of the Broads’, lets visitors hire a day cruiser to see all the pretty Broads’ villages. For children, a day out to BeWILDerwood at Horning is a must; this outdoor adventure park has zip wires, jungle bridges and lots more. Weavers Way is just a short walk from the barns and is ideal for birdwatching or walking. There is a fishing lake just 1 mile away, and day fishing tickets can be purchased at the lake. Gardeners will enjoy a visit to East Ruston Old Vicarage Gardens with its acres of delightful and interesting gardens. There are National Trust properties in the region which are well a worth visit. Alternatively spend a day in the fine city of Norwich with its theatres, cathedrals, museums, outdoor market, cobbled streets and enjoy a fine array of shops and cafés. Walking, cycling, birdwatching, fishing and sailing are all available locally. Beach 5 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 20 guests.

We rented all three apartments for a long weekend away celebrating a hen party. We had EVERYTHING we needed with these beautiful modern barns.

Seaglass Barn Sea is one of currently 3 conversions; there is a further one that is incomplete. There is plenty of parking and the directions provided made it easy to find. The images are accurate although it seems a fish eye lens has been used. Let's get the negatives out of the way so you finish reading on a positive! The front door is quite difficult to open and close because it appears to have dropped somewhat but so long as you lift it a little it's doable. When we arrived it was late at night so we didn't notice immediately, but my goodness it had not been cleaned or not cleaned well. There were cob webs everywhere and the floor was covered in hairs and food stuff that we hadn't created. Also the barn is very well insulated and I can't believe I'm suggesting that is a negative but we found we had to leave the doors open in the evening which lead to an influx of creepy crawlies. As you see from the images they provide the back of the barn is full windows but with no coverage so not only are you rather exposed there is nothing stopping the creepy crawlies. That's the extent of the negatives which I don't think are really that bad! In cooler weather the barn is very well insulated so you won't be cold. The kitchen is more than sufficiently equipped and the welcome basket is generous, including some pods for the nespresso coffee machine. The TV has Netflix signed in so there is plenty to watch if you're not going out or once you're back in. There are two double bedrooms one with an ensuite containing a big bath. The main bathroom has a lovely shower and there was always plenty of hot water. The towels provided were big and fluffy and separate towels were available along with dressing gowns for the hot tub. As you leave the drive from the barns is Broadland Eggs, which is not only useful for directions but you can get your eggs from there during your stay, doesn't get fresher than that! We all enjoyed our week in this barn and the few issues did not outway the good bits.
