Beach location

This third floor beachside holiday apartment is located on the picturesque coast at Broadstairs. Eagle House was once known as Admiral House, as it was used as the headquarters for the Coast Blockade in the 1800s. The block occupies a unique position situated directly on the beach yet only one flight of stairs away from ’The Parade’ (a pedestrian path), with amazing sea and beach views and comfortable surroundings. Guests can also relax on their balcony whilst watching the boats pass by. This property sleeps two people and is in a great location for a coastal getaway. The flat is situated in Viking Bay, with fantastic sandy beaches, and in the heart of Broadstairs boasting quaint local amenities. Local attractions include the famous Folk Week, which takes place in August, and for golfers, Sea View is within easy reach of four well-known golf courses, including St Augustine, which has hosted the Golf Open in the past. This property is also ideal for walking enthusiasts, with Thanet Coastal Path close by, the longest continuous stretch of chalk coastline in the country. Also, the Viking Coastal Trail is a 27-mile walk, passing through Viking Bay which is where the property is situated. Cycle the Viking Trail, surf at Joss Bay, enjoy the fireworks on summer evenings, as well as the Dickens Festival. There are good rail connections to London. There is roadside parking 250 yards away at cost, or free roadside parking in the area. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

Stairs to entrance. All on third floor: Living/dining room/kitchen with tiled floor. 1 double bedroom with French doors. Shower room with toilet.

Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Freeview TV. DVD. Halogen hob. Electric oven. Microwave. Balcony and furniture. On road parking, at cost. Welcome pack. No smoking.

I have stayed in this appartment many times over the past four years. It has the best views in the whole of Broadstairs. I love this apparmtent but am still disappointed that the owners have not changed the lumpy and uncomfortable sofas after many years & reviews. It would only take a few adjustments like this to be able to give this appartment a 10/10. Only other observation is the shower is only a tight single so if you like to splash around its a bit cozy !

We absolutely loved staying at Sea View. This little gem was in a perfect spot! It was small but very comfortable. Broadstairs is such a lovely town. We found lots to do - exploring the beaches and surrounding towns and eating at local restaurants, where the food was top-notch! We do hope to return! Thank you.

Overlooking Viking bay beach the location couldn't be better . The block even has a small communal garden with a gate which leads straight out onto the beach. Lovely light and airy flat with comfortable living room furniture and bed. Fabulous power shower in the bathroom Our only complaint was that it does not have Wifi but to be fair this was not featured on the itinerary .

Verandah chair was rotten and rusty at the joint, my wife sat on it and it collapsed. She hit her head on the railings which left her with a nasty bruise. The bathroom waste bin hadn't been emptied from previous occupant. The bed is so low you may as well been sleeping on a mattress on the floor. The dining chairs and tabe were rickety. Not very stable. We mentioned all this to the owner direct by message on his phone and he never had the courest to acknowledge.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; I was very sorry to hear of your recent experience and what happened on the balcony is extremely unfortunate. We have since spoken and I am pleased to note your wife is perfectly ok. Due to the location of the flat with it being almost on the beach, the property is more susceptible to the corrosive salt of the sea which could account for the faulty chair. Nevertheless this was suprising as the chairs were not that old and on our recent annual inspection all was deemed to be in good working order. We have since replaced the table and chairs on the balcony. I have contacted the cleaners who have profusely apologised and I have to say it is most unlike them to miss something out. With regard to the height of the bed, all I can do is apologise that this was not to your satisfaction. However, it is the design and look I wanted for the apartment as I didn’t want a bed that overpowered the room and interfered with the amazing view. I have however taken on board your comments about the dining table and chairs and have also decided to replace these so thank you for bringing the matter to my attention. You mentioned that you left a message for the owner. I am the owner and unfortunately never received a message at any time. Had I done so, I would have dealt with it immediately. I have also spoken to the cleaning company to check if they had heard anything and unfortunately they hadn’t either. I am unsure if your message had been left in the correct place? To conclude I would like to apologise again if you feel disheartened about your stay and I have done all I can to rectify the matters your mentioned. I am naturally disappointed to have received this review. To reiterate, I know that given the chance I would sorted matters out immediately had I only heard from you by phone or text.

What a fantastic view! This is a very special holiday let. The view from the bedroom window is spectacular. The flat is right on Broadstairs beach and very convenient for the town. There are a couple of downsides; parking is difficult and the flat could do with wifi and an update. But the location and views won us over. We are looking forward to another stay.

This apartment is amazing, the best location in Broadstairs with its sea view and balcony. The only constructive criticism is the two sofas in the lounge have seen better days and they are very lumpy and uncomfortable. This apartment is not cheap to hire so I would expect to see nicer furniture . The table and chairs in the bay window are also very rickerty and could do with updating. The owners have a gem here and it would only take a few adjustments to make this apartment even more perfect
