Description

For a perfect family holiday, this beautiful property is ideal, just 100 yards from the sandy beach with traditional donkey rides.

Close to the seafront and only a short walk onto the beach and the promenade, this beautiful semi-detached house makes for a great family holiday in the seaside resort of Skegness. One of Britain’s most traditional seaside resorts situated on the pretty Lincolnshire coast, it has bags of fun and excitement with plenty to see and do. The town is famous for its stretch of sandy beach with donkey rides in the summer, buzzing pier and well-maintained seafront, which is positively crammed with attractions for all the family, from crazy golf to go-karting, there really is something for everyone. The town centre is home to a great variety of shops, as well as the train station connecting Skegness to the Midlands.
If you fancy a little down time, then where the land meets the sea you will find the fabulous Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve, a haven for wildlife across all the seasons, and a tranquil place to walk and simply take in the view. The seal sanctuary at Natureland is popular with children keen to learn more about these fascinating creatures.
The poet, Alfred Lord Tennyson, was inspired by the wild beauty of the surrounding countryside, and the local landmark, Gunby Hall, that inspired his famous line ‘a haunt of ancient peace’, is well worth a visit. Keen walkers will find plenty of well signposted walks along the coast, or take a gentle stroll around the pleasant foreshore. The town really comes alive in the evening, with several clubs and plenty of seafront bars where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. There are a whole range of places to eat out, with restaurants catering for all tastes. Beach 100 yards. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

This is a home from home holiday let. Spotlessly clean and lovely little touches to add to that homely feel. Excellent quiet location and easy parking. Would definitely stay there again. Ages 72, 82 and 94

A real home from home with the exception of being beside the sea. The little things like a welcome pack of tea coffee sugar and milk were left for us. This enable us to have a drink whilst unpacking. Loved the house. Would definitely recommend this place. Owner very nice as well and gave us all the information we needed. Thank you.

The house was very clean and tidy and the owners left us a welcome pack too. The garden was nice to sit in as well. Someone remarked that Skegness was a toilet, well he went to a different Skegness to what we did, there were a few bits of litter about, but show me a town that does not. Everything was a short stroll away, the funfair had good rides and there were plenty of places to eat, sadly the McDonalds must be the busiest in the country and there were queues everyday, even for breakfast. All in all we had a great time and halfway through our holiday we booked it again for next year. Someone mentioned the bed, we did find it uncomfortable too, it looks like the springs are gone in the mattress, but we lived with it. We are looking forward to next year and hope the same standards are there, well, we are sure they will be.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to your return visit next year. We will definitely be looking at replacing the mattress within the next few weeks as comfort and cleanliness is a must. We would also like to thank you for leaving the house extremely clean and tidy it goes a long way in helping us turn it around for our next guests.

I'm so glad I booked Sea-la-V. It's the perfect location to enjoy Skegness - just out of the way enough so not too noisy at night but 5 minutes walk to all the amenities. The house is lovely, well equipped with everything you need and the sunny garden was a bonus I didn't expect! On arrival the whole house was immaculately clean and the welcoming touches were much appreciated. I would definitely recommend Sea-la-V to any family holidaying in Skegness.

Exceptional holiday home but unfortunately Skegness is a toilet waiting to be flushed.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for the comments and rating our holiday home as exceptional. But unfortunately we cant take responsibility for skegness as a whole, but it is a typical popular seaside town that many enjoy.
