The accomodation was dirty the bin in the kitchen had the previous renters food waste & stunk of fish. Cobwebs in basin & jug in bedroom, spiders behind tv. Smelled of dampness. The place badly needs cleaned & updated. Had trouble trying to get in to property as both yale & mortice locks need renewed.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; The excellent caretaker has checked all the points you mentioned. The house was not dirty. The heating functioned well. Furnishings are traditional in keeping with the period of the house. Door locks work satisfactorily if you had contacted the caretaker she would have gladly helped you.

The limitations specified in the cottage garden details are very accurate. Grass area to exercise dog is approx 100 metres away - but a good size. Cottage located in quiet street . the to do

Parts of the cottage were in need of refurbishment. Although most well presented some could have done with a deep clean.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments, we value customer feedback. Rest assured Sea Cottage is thoroughly cleaned prior to every customer arrival. Deep cleans are carried out on a regular basis. Sea Cottage is maintained in a traditional manner. We hope to see you here again soon.

house basic, comfortable, clean; lovely big well-equipped kitchen; sitting room cold (even in a heatwave it never got any sun so we mostly sat in the kitchen with the back door open); amazing steep garden - sea view from very top! street parking OK, usually a space nearby; 1 mile to Berwick but very pleasant walk.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your lovely comments, we are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay, in particular the garden and the walks surrounding Sea Cottage. The living room does face the North East so we understand it does not capture direct sun however we do provide alternate ways to heat the living room. There is a gas fire in the living room and heating as well. We hope to see you in the future.

Had a good time, but trouble getting in as the door entry code was incorrect and had to phone twice before the caretaker came to let us in. Also the rooms were cold as central heating was switched off. On the plus side we enjoyed the improvements in the garden.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; I am pleased to hear you had a good time at Sea Cottage. The Caretaker lives nearby and will always help as quickly as possible. The central heating is switched off from 1st May – 1st October, as advertised but is available. Please contact the caretaker for this. I am glad you appreciated the garden.

Mid terraced property. Lounge area quite dark even in broad daylight. Kitchen bright enough with a borrow light window into lounge. Too many notices of do and dont on walls for my liking. 2 mins to beach and plenty of local walks

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback. The lounge has one window only as an extra window was taxed back in 1901 when the house was built. Today pale cream walls and various electric lights lighten the room. ‘Do’s and Don’ts’ are for guests comfort in order to avoid drain blockage and shower disorder. Lounge throws are cosy and protect delicate fabric on the sofa and armchair. ‘No Smoking’ is a nationwide requirement. I am happy you appreciated the nearby beach and country walks.
