The couch was too small and uncomfortable. The bathroom sink and kitchen sink were dirty. Overall decor of the house dated in the 1970's. The double bed mattress would have been too hard for 2 people sleeping in the bed. Manageable for 1 person.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We have read your comments and regret that both the couch and double bed were not the size you had anticipated. Furniture and décor are traditional in keeping with the house. Our caretaker will keep a check on the sinks in the future. We appreciate your feedback, and do hope you had a happy time.

Sea Cottage is a 2 bed cottage, sleeping 3 people. The lounge furniture consists of a 2 seater sofa (really small and is really only suitable for 1 adult), a hard rocking chair and 1 armchair. If you want to socialise (we were up in Berwick visiting family) there isn't any room for more than 2 or 3 people. The cottage also has no wifi, so you will use a lot of data if staying for a week or two. The cottage would benefit from wifi being installed. The double bed in the main bedroom is very low to the ground and wasn't particularly comfortable. When turning over in bed it felt like the bed was about to break. The owners would definitely benefit from buying a new double bed. The overall look of the inside of the cottage is quite dated and would benefit from being redecorated and smelt a little musty upon arrival. We did enjoy our stay, but would have enjoyed it a bit more if the things mentioned above were updated.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We sincerely regret that the traditional furniture has not the dimensions you expected. However, we have noted your suggestions for changes. We are happy to learn that you had an enjoyable time in Berwick-Upon-Tweed, with its fine beaches, seascapes, rewarding country walks and fascinating history.

The accomodation was dirty the bin in the kitchen had the previous renters food waste & stunk of fish. Cobwebs in basin & jug in bedroom, spiders behind tv. Smelled of dampness. The place badly needs cleaned & updated. Had trouble trying to get in to property as both yale & mortice locks need renewed.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; The excellent caretaker has checked all the points you mentioned. The house was not dirty. The heating functioned well. Furnishings are traditional in keeping with the period of the house. Door locks work satisfactorily. If you had contacted the caretaker she would have gladly helped you.

The limitations specified in the cottage garden details are very accurate. Grass area to exercise dog is approx 100 metres away - but a good size. Cottage located in quiet street . the to do
