A wonderful relaxing week at the Roost, the perfect place to get away from the rigours of the modern world, and just watch the clouds drift by through that amazing window, and the wifi is good if you want to reconnect too. It is well equipped with everything you need.

Fantastic week at the Roost. Just loved sitting in the evening with the big windows open watching the world go by. Very relaxing. Kate welcomed us with the ingredients for a lovely cream tea. There is plenty space to relax in. Bodmin to not too far away for food shopping. The kitchen had everything we needed. The Old Inn in the village was excellent for meals out and drinks too. Hopefully we will be back

The Roost is a really lovely cottage to stay in for a holiday, the views are breathtaking, Kate makes sure your stay is very good with a welcome Cream Tea, you have all the amenities you need, our only downfall was it wasn’t as close to where we were visiting as we thought but that was our problem. The first night we were there we walked to the local Inn (The Old Inn) to have dinner was not impressed with our food but we went back on the Wednesday and had a roast dinner which was really lovely. There are plenty of walking areas close to the Roost which was good for us and the dog

Wow what a fantastic cottage, it started from the warm welcome from the owner and the lovely cream tea we found waiting for us. Beautiful out look from the lounge we watched the birds and deer in the field. Well fitted kitchen with everything you need. Log fire in the lounge, with the 1st lot of logs provided under floor heating through out. Lovely fitted bathroom and comfy bed. Nice entrance hall for coats and shoes etc. Very quite location in a great village, the local pub does great food. 5-6 miles into Bodim by car across the moor. Ideal spot for travelling further afield in Cornwall. Great cottage we could not fault anything. We recommend without hesitation and would stay again.

Beautiful cottage - it started snowing as we arrived but managed to get there before it got too bad and we were stuck there for 24 hours where we were not able to get out in the car. The cottage was beautifully warm with the underfloor heating. Gorgeous cottage with a lovely owner and her Labrador Molly. And the Old Inn in the village is awesome.
