Reasonable cottage with garden in a very pretty part of the world. Unfortunately the owner is a little over protective about how the property can & can't be used, which makes you feel like you can't just relax in it. For example there is a large sign on the living room door banning food and drink in there. Therefore you are confined to the kitchen for any drinks or food, rather than relaxing in the living room. Fortunately the weather was good so we weren't inside too much, otherwise it could have been more grating. We spoke to her before moving in and she is a really nice lady, but we think the covid restrictions have made life a lot more difficult for her and she may have lost sight a little of the fact people are on holiday! If you can cope with that, then there are loads of fantastic places to explore, we would also highly recommend National Trust membership too as a lot of the car parks are run by them.

Sulfar Fawr is a charming cottage with character. You can enjoy peace and tranquillity as it is far enough away from the more busier villages and towns. There are great scenic views with bags of nature right on door step, so it’s a great base for walks too. The owner is determined to ensure that you have a pleasant stay and is only a phone call away if you need her. I would definitely recommend this property
