Russell Court is a spacious holiday home by the sea, situated opposite Paignton Green and Paignton Pier, with amazing sea views from the living room and some of the bedrooms. This is the perfect spot for a family holiday or for friends to get together. The property was once a hotel, with six bedrooms, all named after a local beach, and boasting en-suite facilities. Decorated and furnished to a good standard throughout, this wonderful property offers the perfect location for a coastal retreat.
Paignton Green hosts many events throughout the year, including Paignton Regatta, where you can watch the fireworks from the privacy of your own sea-facing balcony. Sometimes there is a circus on the green, carnival, cycling events, classic car shows, half marathons and many other events throughout the summer months. The area has a variety of amenities within walking distance including: a cinema, theatre, pier, railway and bus stations, crazy golf, shops, pubs, bars and restaurants, and a ferry service to Torquay and Brixham. Paignton Zoo is a short drive away, and offers a great day out for all the family. There is also a steam train that runs along the coast to Dartmouth. Torquay is also nearby and offers a theatre, casino, a plethora of shops and boat trips.Torbay offers 22 beaches to explore.
Exeter and its airport are just one hour away and Plymouth is within easy driving distance, and both offer an array of tourist attractions, historical buildings and shops. Dartmoor National Park and all its beauty is close by, where there are plenty of walking and cycling opportunities, and the Dartmoor ponies are in abundance. Cross ancient stone bridges across the River Dart, or visit the 7 tors which offer wonderful views from the top. Brixham is close by where you can take the ferry across to Dartmouth, and along the way enjoy views of the river estuary with its many sailing boats, naval boats and pleasure cruisers. If you look towards the mouth of the river you will see Kingswear and Dartmouth castles. There is a variety of National Trust properties nearby which are just waiting to be explored. There is coarse, sea and game fishing available, 7 miles, where you can also take a course to improve your fishing skills! Beach 50 yards. Shops 200 yards, pubs and restaurants 200 yards.

Review a little late as I thought I had already done it! Lovely large house that the kids loved playing hide and seek in. The rooms were of a generous size. There were a couple of missing tv's in the bedrooms and some of the bedroom furniture was very mismatched. One of the rooms had 3 different style drawers and way too many of them for a double bedroom. Were a bit disappointed on arrival that we would have to arrange to unlock the piano by contacting the owner when we wanted to use it. Whilst we understand why there is a picture when advertising, appearing to make this a prominent feature. We did feel that this should have been an Air B&B property as it felt like you were living is someones home rat;her than renting a holiday property. We would recommend de-personalising. Some of the group didn't like the fact that there was CCTV inside some of the rooms downstairs. rooms. The biggest plus point of the property is the location. Across the road from the beach and pier. As we arrived the Paignton festival was finishing and a few days later the circus arrived. All this on the green which is between the beach and house. The kids are already talking about wanting to return.
