Two week stay for a combination of work and holiday. Nice quiet location and a good base for exploring the area. Not as well equipped as some cottages I have stayed in and equipment is not as new (don't see too many VHS or cassette players for example). not spotlessly clean but it was OK. Would use it again.

We used Rushfields as a weekend base for work. It was really well equipped, clean and relaxed with reliable Wifi. The farm shop and garden centre on site are great, and the few goodies left for arrival from the farm shop were a nice touch. I'm sure in the summer the outside space would be well used, with fantastic views. Only one negative thing was the shower which was a bit under power, but I know the owners have plans to renovate the bathroom at some stage.

This was a stop gap before moving into our new home so not an actual holiday.Local to this area so very familiar with the surrounding villages and towns.Very welcoming host and a very cosy barn with wonderful views.Only 2 slight negatives was we felt the kitchen and bathroom was a bit tired and a more powerful shower would be better.

Rushfields Barn is ideally suited to a family of four, as there is only one bathroom. We were a retired couple with a wheelchair, and using two bedrooms. However, we found it cosy and inviting, with plenty of enclosed garden for our retriever. The best thing about the Barn is its location, tucked around the back of the plant centre but facing away from it, towards horses and sheep in the fields. You are next door to a farm shop and café, so you're never short of food and we can certainly recommend the breakfasts! Had the weather been warmer, we would certainly have used the barbecue and opened the glass doors right along the length of the barn. As we have family in the area, it's definitely a place we would return to.

Fantastic location exacerbated by wonderful weather! You will need to drive if you want to go anywhere other than Brighton but with a family day tripper for 10 quid and a bus stop outside it’s no issue. Taxi is £20 from Brighton ( cheaper than parking) so again, leave the car, have a beer. Smashing welcome food and drink bundle and a cracking farm shop onsite. Private, secluded garden- we loved it

Suited us and the dog very well. Garden great for both us and the dog. Good isolated spot not overlooked by anyone. Excellent access to Brighton, Devil's Dyke etc. Only slight downside is that there are no dog walks direct from the cottage. Excellent farm shop and dog friendly cafe on site. Very useful welcome pack from farm shop.

Fab place to escape to. Took hubby here for a short break as a surprise. Amazing cafe on site and farm shop. The barn is far enough away from garden centre for privacy and peace. I’d love to come back with the children, it would make a great base camp as well situated to explore surrounding area. Thank you for the basket of goodies on arrival such a wonderful treat!
