Cedar Lodge is an end cottage of a row of three, and has a large, bright sitting room with a dining area and a second seating area within an interior hall where there is a sofa bed.
Linlithgow has a good selection of pubs, restaurants and shops and a visit to Linlithgow Palace should not be missed. Nearby visit the miracle of engineering which is the Falkirk Wheel and no less dramatic, the immense Kelpies and the Helix Park for a boat trip on the Union Canal. Hopetoun House and the House of the Binns are among the finest of Scotland’s stately homes, while Blackness Castle has been used in the filming of Outlander. Edinburgh is a 20 minute train journey and it is 20 minutes’ drive to Stirling Castle. Head over the magnificent Queensferry Crossing for an away day along the East Neuk of Fife to explore fishing villages and beaches and come home by way of St Andrews, a perfect day out. Beach 25 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.
