This charming, mid-terraced cottage lies in the heart of the historic and picturesque town of Winchcombe.

Rosemary Cottage is a mid-terraced, characterful holiday property located in the centre of the ancient Saxon town of Winchcombe. Mid-way between Broadway and Cheltenham, it is the perfect base for exploring the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The name Winchcombe means ’valley with a bend’, and today the town still retains streets which curve gracefully along the ’combe’. The inns, restaurants, tea rooms and shops set among Winchcombe’s three main streets are full of the character of times past. Within walking distance of the cottage are two small supermarkets, several pubs, restaurants, fish & chip shop and a Chinese takeaway. Stroll through the historic market town, walk to the famous Sudeley Castle with its beautiful gardens, now one of the premier tourist attractions in the north Cotswolds, or ramble in rolling hills including the Cotswold Way. The towns of Broadway, Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Campden are within easy reach, while Regency Cheltenham is just 8 miles. The famous racecourse at Prestbury Park is a big attraction for National Hunt fans, and the Prescott Speed Hill Climb holds motoring events at various times throughout the year. Shop, pub and restaurant 50 yards.

We enjoyed a great week in Winchcombe in Rosemary Cottage. The cottage is conveniently situated in a central location. The road can get a bit busy during the day but we found it quiet at night. Limited, timed parking outside but a public car park is close by for £1 per day. The kitchen has all the modern amenities (dishwasher apart), comfortable lounge with a massive tv, very nice main bedroom with large comfy bed, 2 shower rooms and a small but private garden. All done with exquisite taste. Loads of games, books, CD's, DVD's. The owner, James, has ensured the cottage has everything you need for a very enjoyable stay. We will be back.

Well equipped would be an understatement, there are things you didn't realise you needed ... TVs in 3 different rooms, washing machine, log burner, enough pots and pans to feed the whole village, 2 showers. All in all very cosy cottage. The only slight downside is that parking on the road is limited to 1 hour between the hours of 8am-5pm (ie you have to move it by 9am), otherwise you need to make a short walk to and from a car park which is a mere £1 per 24 hours. Winchcombe is only a short walk and is gorgeous. Many walks from the cottage around Winchcombe. Games and books in the cottage.

This is a beautiful cottage In a beautiful town, I️ would love to stay there again. I hope it’s available, after being discovered. So many pluses.... the living room has an open feeling between the kitchen and dining room plus the view out the back, plus the door onto the back yard is most appealing. Flow is most congenial. The fireplace works beautifully. The master bedroom has ample storage With a large closet and beautiful chest of drawers. Bathroom a bit small but every thing works splendly, With good lightly and airflow, plus strong water pressure. And the iceing on the cake is the decoration ..... beautiful paint colors and Art work. Just fabulous.
