This property is part of our Welsh Country Cottages collection

An inspiring collection of properties chosen for their character, luxury and heritage, all graded 4 star and above..

Sit back and relax with a glass of wine in your very own private hot tub whilst taking in the views of the sublime Welsh countryside.

Lying peacefully on the banks of the glistening River Teifi within extensive grounds and on a 91-acre working farm, these traditional, Welsh barn conversions (refs JUK, JUL, OAM and OFA) have been converted to a very good standard and offer a perfect base for a family or couples looking to explore the dramatic coastline and rugged mountains of west Wales. Conveniently located just 2 miles away from the charming, market town of Cardigan, Rosehill Farm is situated well off the beaten track and is surrounded by rolling terrain where horses, goats and lambs call home. On the approach to the farm, guests will be greeted with spectacular views of the River Teifi, which is famously renowned for its freshwater salmon and trout fishing, and superb water based activities including kayaking and sailing. Each cottage has been sympathetically restored to uncover much of its original charm and character, including exposed beams and stone walls. Outside, guests can relax on their own private patio area, perfect for unwinding after a busy day’s adventure whilst watching the red kites and peregrine falcons soar over the magnificent scenery.
Close to the iconic Pembrokeshire National Park, guests can ramble the majestic Preseli Hills and discover picturesque walks and ancient monuments, including the Bronze Age burial chamber of Pentre Ifan Dolmen, which stands beautifully in rugged terrain. The nearby market towns of Cardigan, Newcastle Emlyn and Carmarthen are all rich with Welsh culture and offer a selection of traditional pubs, boutique and antique gift shops, along with some restaurants waiting to be explored. The magnificent coastline is just a short drive away and is home to golden beaches, horseshoe coves and the pretty coastal towns of Newport, New Quay and Aberaeron, which are set in tranquil fishing harbours where bottlenose dolphins and seals can be spotted on a clear day. For an interesting day out, take a scenic drive to Britain’s smallest city of St David’s and discover its 12th-century cathedral and medieval ruins of Bishops’s Palace, or take a sea safari around the off-shore island of Ramsey, cruising close to seabirds, seals and the occasional dolphin. Shops and pub 2 miles.

Galleried open-plan modern fitted kitchen/dining room with steps down to living room with doors to patio and river views. Conservatory. Double bedroom with en-suite shower room and toilet. First floor (sloping ceilings throughout): Three spacious bedrooms; one double and two twin, one with extra 2ft 6in bed (for +1). Bathroom with toilet.

Lovely week away with friends. Hot tub was great. Cottage warm and cozy, definitely all we required. However, we couldn’t find a pub within a mile radius and the cooking facilities were not great (oven didn’t get over 150•, took hours to cook pizza for the kids). Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the Pembrokeshire coastline is amazing and we will be back.

Rose Barn is in a lovely, tranquil location, and you stay in a spacious, well-equipped cottage within a farm. There are 2 charming goats that trot around, munching grass. You need to watch for them when you are driving. The cottage itself is ok. The downstairs is well-designed. The bedrooms are ok. However there are some negatives: there is no welcome pack (e.g. instructions on how to use things, what to do with rubbish, what there is to do in the area) ; utensils..... these were limited. We had to ask for more cutlery as there was not enough for 9 people. There is a nice bbq, but there were no bbq utensils..... We asked for some on the Saturday and were told that we would have them on the Monday, but we did not get them. The towels are too small. There is no light by the hot tub. We enjoyed our stay very much. The negatives have been added as they should be easy fixes.

Warm and friendly, better facilities then stated. Lovely to have a private jacuzzi and had 2 ensuites and a bathroom, not one. Owner around to help if needed. All equipment worked. A really pleasant holiday - do not be put off by any negative reviews.

This place is a must. The place is beautiful. We stayed at Rose Barn. It had everything we needed. The beds were extremely comfy. Niki was more than helpful. We were visited by the goats and Chief the dog. We will definitely be coming back!

We had a wonderful stay here at Rose Barn!! Absolutely beautiful location perfect for our painting holiday. Although we slept well, new mattresses would be a very good investment. But this wouldn't stop us coming back again. Lovely hot tub and Niki was brilliant. Thanks for a lovely weekend !!!
