What a lovely little cottage. Warm and cosy, home from home with everything you’ll need to cater for yourself. Beautiful walks from your door, with a friendly pub opposite and a small shop a couple of doors down. Ideally located for seeing most of what Ayrshire has to offer. The Galloway Dark Sky Park just up the road. Would highly recommend.

Rosebud cottage in Straiton is wonderful. Very cosy, homely and welcoming. The village is very small but there is a pub which does brilliant food, and the shop run by the villagers has all your basics. We wanted for nothing and the people are very polite and friendly.

Beautiful, well appointed cottage in a great location for exploring Ayrshire and New Galloway. Tastefully decorated with cosy open fires and a well tended enclosed garden at the rear. Pub right across the road and a handy village store just down the street. Didn't want to leave.

The best review I can give is that my brother and I will be going there again. The cottage was warm and with plenty of space the owners friendly as were the people of Straiton (who take turns running the local co-operative shop). The cottage is well soundproofed that you can just sit back and let the world pass you by. Depending on your interest it makes and ideal base for us 6 trout fisheries no more then 45 minutes drive away but there are places to visit dotted around the area.

A generously sized and well equipped cottage with enclosed garden. We enjoyed the quiet location, the glorious surrounding countryside and the proximity of the village shop! Our elderly dog was immediately at ease in this comfortable home, which meant we could all relax!

Great base for touring, friendly and accommodating local pub and shop and stunning scenery. All in all a relaxing, informative and enjoyable break, a bonus to able to take the dog in so many places 🐶👍🥃🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿😁
