Adjacent to a 16th century country inn which serves real ale, fine wines and quality homemade food, the cottage has been tastefully decorated in a contemporary style, whilst maintaining many original features. The cosy living room has an open fire, perfect for the winter months, and stunning views over the Dove Valley which can also be enjoyed from the small terrace at the front of the cottage in the fine weather. The magnificent historic houses of Chatsworth Estate and Haddon Hall are easily reachable in 30 minutes, as are the famous caves of Blue John and Speedwell in the beautiful village of Castleton. In the summer months, Well Dressings can be seen in many surrounding villages such as the intriguing historic village of Eyam, Hartington, most famous for its Stilton, and Hayfield, as featured in BBC’s drama ‘The Village’.
