This quintessential English country cottage and garden is set in the heart of the West Sussex countryside. The cottage is very nicely presented with a wood burner the central feature in the living room. The kitchen is well-equipped for two people and off the kitchen you will find a modern shower room. Upstairs is a large bedroom space with a super kingsize bed, the cottage are open-tread, quite steep and do not have a landing at the top. The gardens to the front of the cottage are extensive and the walk to the lake is quite delightful. Ample parking is next to cottage.
Roo Cottage is about a mile from the centre of the village of Barns Green where you will find a traditional local pub and a village store and post office. Sumners Ponds in the heart of the village is also a popular destination serving breakfasts, lunches and evening meals. The village is in the heart of the Sussex Weald amongst picturesque countryside. The location is perfect to enable you to explore much of Sussex, with the market town of Horsham within 6 miles and the South Downs are less than a 30-minute drive. To the west you will find Petworth and the famous Petworth House home to many works by Turner, and beyond that the market town of Midhurst and the Cowdray Estate. The Downs Link which is a combination of two disused railway lines is nearby and can be reached from Christ Hospital, it provides a route which will link the North Downs with the South Downs. A little further afield you will find traditional houses and gardens such as Leonardslee High Beeches and Nymans House and Gardens.
