We booked last minute due to water damage at our home. We were charged £500+ for only three nights ( insurance company paid us back - but still excessive charge!) Beautiful cottage with fantastic garden ( garden furniture needs a bit of 💕) Kitchen well equipped.. Would recommend 💕

Beautiful cottage, beautiful area. The house was well equipped and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the house was nice and warm considering it’s age. The pub round the corner does lovely food and if the weather is right it has a great garden area. I would definitely book again if I’m staying in that area.

The owner accepted a booking and made the cottage ready in less than 24 hours after a mix-up between the agency and the owner of my original booking at another cottage. Judging by the waste and re-cycling bins the cottage had been in use over Christmas and New Year so the owner can be proud of her achievement. The only downside to the equipment and comfort for me was that the beds weren't doubles - at over 6 feet tall it matters to me but that is just a personal preference - if it doesn't matter to you, then you will be really comfortable here. Great walks and, although visiting in Winter, sitting on the beach at the top was lovely with peaceful views. Don't bother to cook - just go to The Three Daggers Inn for dinner and the attached farm-shop for breakfast (you won't need lunch).

The cottage was charming, comfy, cosy, clean and warm. It had everything you could possibly need. Although the cottage is small the interior was well thought out, in very good condition and suited our needs perfectly. Would highly recommend!

Came down for a family wedding and found the cottage had everything we needed. Could have stayed longer if we had the time as would have loved to explore surrounding countryside. We notified the owners that we would be late arrivals and they even left a light on in the porch to show us the way.

We found that the kitchen equipment was not very clean. The pans had spider webs and most of the saucepans were damaged inside and therefore not healthy to cook with! Besides, the shower does not work! The one on top with the easy temperature switch did not have any warm water and the one below was impossible to get a normal temperature regulated at all! Therefore, we did not allow our children to shower at all because if a risk to get burnd was too high!!

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We are very sorry you had problems at the cottage. Being an old thatched property we do have quite a lot spiders but I am surprised that they caused problems within the kitchen as previous guests had presumably used the pans, however, we do recognise that some are looking a bit tired and will be replaced. The electric shower does work and I can only think that it had not been switched on using the pull switch in the bathroom and apologise if the instructions were not clear.
