Johnnie’s Cabin has a relaxing open plan living space and the cabin can be enjoyed all year round. In the summer months you can fling open the large floor to ceiling patio doors to the decking and on those chillier days you can cosy up in front of the wonderful wood burner, perfect! There are two bedrooms, one double and one bunk and a shower room completes this adorable lodge. Outside, not only can you enjoy your private decking with gas barbecue, you can also enjoy the grounds of Rockhall Tower adjacent to the cabin.
Whilst you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity of Souter Johnnie’s Cabin you are only minutes by car from Dumfries and the surrounding countryside. This little corner of Dumfries and Galloway is truly beautiful, from the Solway Coast with over 200 miles of stunning and dramatic coastline with secluded little bays and sandy beaches, to the lush inland forests and hills. Throughout the region there is supreme mountain biking at the 7Stanes in nearby Mabie and Dalbeattie Forests, wonderful historical sites to visit, farm parks for the younger ones and some championship golf courses all around. Dumfries is a short drive away where there are many shops, pubs and restaurants. After a day of exploration you can return to Rockhall – Souter Johnnie’s Cabin and enjoy the evening just marvelling at the dark starry skies – bliss!
