Welcome to Roane, a single-story holiday home in Kilkhampton, a small village close to the coastal town of Bude. Just over 2 miles from the magnificent Sandymouths golden sandy beaches and countless cliff-top walks, this wonderful part of North Cornwall is a delight to explore.
Set back to provide a private retreat, enter and be greeted by a warm and welcoming kitchen/dining room with a good level of cooking equipment and a smart dining table, great for the preparation and enjoyment of any meal of your choosing. The living room boasts a very comfortable sofa, chairs, a TV and a DVD player; doors lead out to your private patio, where a little al fresco dining would be delightful. There are three bedrooms, all with calming décor. The first has a double bed, and then two rooms with twin beds which provides plenty of flexibility for six guests. The family bathroom has a bath for a long, relaxing soak and there is also a thermostatic mixer shower above. Great levels of storage and space are provided throughout.
Nearby Kilkhampton has pubs, a village store and a post office along with a butchers shop and takeaway restaurants. Bude itself has many amenities, popular beaches great for all things water sports related and a family-fun atmosphere. The countryside here is sublime whilst the views of the vast Atlantic Ocean are breathtaking. Rockpools, inlets and safe swimming at Bude Sea Pool go hand in hand with surfing at Widemouth Bay.
Venture further north and Devon awaits, with coastal villages and towns to discover whilst, to the south, beautiful Boscastle, Tintagel, the home of the legends of King Arthur are must-visits, whilst Port Isaac reveals the home of the TV series ‘Doc Martin’. At the day’s end, return to your delightful abode, recount the day’s adventures and plan tomorrow’s exploits before retiring for a peaceful night’s sleep in this amazing part of Cornwall.
