Stylish and welcoming, the property has a farmhouse feel with a modern twist.
You will be spoilt for choice for places to see and visit from this ideally located property. The medieval village of Cartmel can be reached on foot in approximately 30 minutes or in just 5 minutes by car. Cartmel is a beautiful village with a colourful and interesting history. The village is most famous for its ancient priory, which has been a place of Christian worship for 800 years. It is also the home of a popular racecourse, the famous sticky toffee pudding shop and a Michelin-starred restaurant. Or why not visit the pretty Edwardian resort of Grange-over-Sands in under 15 minutes by car. Grange has a ‘microclimate’ and is located on the shores of Morecambe Bay.
The town itself boasts many cafés, including the award-winning café near the duck pond. There are a number of independent shops too, plus a coffee shop. Bowness-on-Windermere can also be reached in under 30 minutes by car, with an abundance of shops, cafés, bars and restaurants, as well as many of the Lakes’ finest attractions, including taking a cruise on Windermere or do-it-yourself boat hire. Bowness is also the home of Beatrix Potter World and the wonderful Art Deco Royalty Cinema.
