Still a lovely cottage but the couches are in need of replacing as it's like sitting on a plank of wood now I'm afraid. Great sized house and the gardens are beautifully tended.

Response on behalf of the owner; Many thanks for your comments. It was lovely to have you back at riverside we believe the couch is comfy but then we do understand everyone has different ideas of comfy it's either too hard or too soft.

In my opinion there is a definite need to replace the seating in the lounge as it is very low and you can feel the frame when sitting. There is again a need to replace the matresses on both the double beds as they are both very thin and uncomfortable thereby not allowing you to sleep in comfort when on holiday - and that's what you go on holiday for some comfort. Another issue was for us that the TV switched itself off ever 10 - 15 minutes and then restarted itself. Again of an evening when there is nothing else to do you want to watch the TV in comfort and this you didn't get. I would not recommend this property unless the above was corrected.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner. I wish this guest had informed me of the TV playing up, I could have had a replacement there in a couple of hours. I have now replaced the TV with a slightly bigger one. The mattresses are of a standard thickness. I asked several people who had stayed at the property how comfortable did they find the beds and the seats, they all indicated that they did not find them uncomfortable.
