This is the second year on the run we have been to Riven Oak and think it was a fabulous little find. We are a family group of 7 adults and 3 dogs and love it here. Enclosed garden perfect for us because of the dogs. Really a little gem and will definitely be returning next year. Thank you!

Lovely, well equipped cottage. Good communication with the owners. Enjoyed our stay. Felt cottage could be a little warmer but that is personal preference.

Riven Oak was splendid and had everything in that we could possibly have needed, we would certainly go again. The views were good. Off the main road but easily accessible, by car, to Grange, Kendal and Windermere.

This place needs a make over!! Kitchen amenities were limited and what was there was only and needed to be replaced. The place needs a good paint, new bathrooms and a bloody good Hoover. Location is spot on. Guys you need to look after your investment.

I stayed at Riven Oak with my family (five adults, two children, three dogs) Plenty of space and great that all the upstairs was open plan with bedrooms downstairs. The owners very kindly had put up a decorated Christmas tree for us. Plenty of kitchen amenities although no shelves in the two small fridges was a bit awkward at times with all our Christmas food! The house was lovely and warm with a woodburning stove and the power showers were particularly welcome after a climb up Helvellyn. Windermere and Kendal were each a short drive away. Overall a wonderful place to stay and I would highly recommend.
