This property is overall a lovely cottage. It is showing some signs of wear, for example several door handles are worn but don’t let this put you off. Overall the property is clean, convenient for touring around the lakes and surrounding areas, well equipped and very comfortable. We had a family weekend and everyone enjoyed it very much.

Great cottage and happy to recommend. There is a pub in walking distance but no other amenities which we knew and was fine for us. Kitchen well equipped but could have been cleaner

This was a bit of the beaten track but perfect for us. We enjoyed a lovely relaxing week here away from everything. Great to relax and perfect for us to stay with our dogs and take them for lovely walks. We would definitely go again.

Overall we had a wonderful week at Riven Oak. The building itself is beautiful but could do with a little more attention to detail with cleaning and a freshen up on the paint. It is a great base for walking and the views are beautiful. We were very lucky with the weather too. The neighbours were very friendly and welcoming with lots of good advice on walks and restaurants to try round about.
