We are a family of four with a young dog and this cottage couldn't have been more perfect for us. Its in a secluded location with views over a lovely meadow to trees beyond. Alan, the owner made sure we were comfortable and then left us to it. the welcome pack is a great idea, especially as we arrived late after a long drive. The cottage itself is spacious, well equipped and has a lovely feel to it. The bedrooms are large, the beds very comfortable and the whole place is immaculate. The area is a great base for touring and visiting so many great venues and we hardly scratched the surface - we'll definitely be going back!

The wifi was intermittent . The location is in a very isolated area . The barn conversion is attached to another barn that is in use for storing items . It is a fishing farm with three lakes , however there are no views of the lakes from the barn . In fact there aren’t pkeaseant views from the cottage . There was a constant strong smell of burning wood , although we had never used the wood burning stove .

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We would like to thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. No issues were brought to our attention during your stay, had any been raised they would have been dealt with immediately. No problems with the Wi-Fi a have been reported, guests before and after had no problems and I have since had it tested. I am not sure what could have caused the burning wood smell you experienced, but it has not been an issue before or since. The cottage is attached to old farm buildings, but this should in no way affect your enjoyment of the cottage as the exit to the barn is only used as an emergency fire exit. Our secluded and quiet location is what draws many guests to our cottages. There are local shops and amenities within a 5 minute drive, and a plethora of excellent attractions within a 20-30 minute drive. Our property is not a fishing farm, rather a working farm with fishing lakes on site. Although the water is not visible from the cottage windows, you can see the trees and landscaping surrounding the lake. The lakes can be reached in a very short walk of only a few hundred yards. We find the views over open countryside to be very pleasant, and I'm sure many of our returning guests would agree.
