The Bullock Shed at Ri Cruin was ideally situated for us. In the centre of an amazing valley, surrounded by history and great walks whilst providing us with a cozy place to dry out at the end of the day!

We are two ladies in later years, and one wee doggy. This cottage was ideal, loads of parking. Very well equiped, everything one would need without doubt, and a scummy box of shortbread and a bottle of wine to welcome us. lovely kind thought Sandy, thank you. Comfortable, cosy with a relaxing atmosphere with beds /pillows which were comfortable. Lots of books, games etc for that bad weather day, a great place for children to explore...as my little doggy pal did.. A fabulous shower, with lots of hot water. We dried our washing in the shower room overnight. Lovely warm room. There are some lovely walks nearby, with some very interesting Bronze Age crypts and Standing Stones to peruse but remember not to touch them. Superstition states if you need help the stones will protect you...but...touch them and you will have bad luck. Tesco supermarket is 8 miles away, we brought sufficient food with us to carry over the w/e. There is lots of information regarding the area and also a great household information file. But the one thing you must look at is a photo album showing photos of the conversion of the Bullock Shed, it was lovely to see the transformation. We visited Fort William, a long but worth it journey. then Glencoe to say Hello to the lost souls.. Oban, well Oban is a port and so changed from when I was last there, took ferry there to Mull, I could have lived there. If travelling through or to Tarbet, stop and visit The Cafe Ca' Dora it serves the most yummy food but be warned, everyone else wants to eat there too...best time we discovered is 2pm onward..it's so worth it... Of course there is Inverary, lovely day there...Seil Island, gave us a surprise..we met a gentleman who has the Highland Stores..great place, but the chap was from our local area. Strange huh! To top this lovely week off we had a win on the lottery...nice meal on way home... I shall return to this lovely place, I might even tour those Isles before I take off for that final journey... If you're looking for a cottage far from the maddening crowd...then consider this one, you won't regret it... Thank you to Sandy and his wife for a lovely week. Take care Ted, hope you got your treats.
