Really enjoyed our week in Rheidol as a base for exploring Mid-Wales. We thought the site looked tired and the only criticism was the electric cooker which had not been cleaned for a long time. On the directions there has not been a golf course for ages so no sign at end of lane.

There is nowhere within walking distance - have to drive to go anywhere but the views are worth it! Lovely lady on the phone when totally lost finding it! It’s a shame there’s no pub or restaurant in walking distance. No WiFi, lovely lady again when I rang to ask for the password who said she would ring back. But didn’t. Not very clean - had to clean fridge and kitchen drawers before use and had to mop the floors - filthy! Actual cottage was lovely. Cooking equipment was good quality and beds comfy. Hot tub was a lovely treat but we found the light on our last day - perhaps a little note explaining where it is would be good as it’s behind the curtain in the bedroom and not outside or near the summer house as you would expect.
