Superb farmhouse accommodation with excellent facilities, situated above the River Derwent in tranquil surroundings.

This impressive former farmhouse is the perfect base for large family gatherings, groups on outdoor activity breaks and corporate meetings, one couple used it for their wedding reception. It has eight double/twin bedrooms all with en suite facilities and a hot water system to meet the demand and excellent kitchen, drying and toilet facilities. Redmain Hall Farm is situated in the village of Redmain, three miles from Cockermouth in the Lake District National Park and is surrounded by open fields with lovely fell views. The property is accessed along a shared lane which is occasionally used by farm vehicles.  It has the best of both worlds, a beautiful rural location with a wealth of amenities within five minutes drive. Guests with mobility problems and the elderly  will find the facilities on the ground floor, including bedroom, wet room and two toilets most convenient.Shop 3 miles, pub 2 miles and restaurant 3 miles.

Living Room: With wood burning stove (initial supply of fuel provided), TV, DVD and CD/radio.
Large Conservatory: With more seating.
Dining room:
Kitchen: With range cooker with double oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and microwave.
Utility room: With dishwasher and sink.
Drying room: (next to conservatory) With drying racks for wet gear, toilet and drinks fridge.
Cloakroom: with toilet.
Bedroom 1: With double bed and en-suite wet room with shower and toilet

First Floor:

M1 Awarded property - Typically suitable for a person with sufficient mobility to climb a flight of steps but who would benefit from fixtures and fittings to aid balance. Outside: Patio with seating. Yard available for parking. Please note: The property is accessed along a shared lane which is occasionally used by farm vehicles and there is a security deposit of £200.

    Great holiday cortage. The photos don't do the shared areas full justice. Excellent dining area and lounge, beautiful views and tonnes of crockery/kitchen euipement. The only thing to improve this house would be to store the crockery at the "top kitchen" near the fridges etc. Great place overall. We plan to be back!

    Great stay with family members, big enough to well accomodate group of people with enough facilities. We really enjoyed the river side.

    A fantastic house for family/friend gathering. My family and I were there to celebrate my Dad's 80th birthday. We filled the house from aged 6-80. There is lots of room to gather together or spread out. The conservatory was a great place to play board games in the day and a relax with a glass of wine at night. The facilities provided are excellent and everything you need has been provided, a real home from home.

    lovely situation, lovely views. bedrooms and bathrooms very good, although not all mattresses suited everyone. Hot water provision outstanding. Drying/boot room excellent. Spacious and comfortable eating and sitting areas. Well equipped with crockery, cutlery etc. Good provision of storage, fridge, freezers etc. problems with heating and ventilation - not all windows can be opened, not all radiators can be controlled, consequently some people were too hot and some not always warm enough. not as clean overall as we would wish- rooms clean but some crockery/utensils etc + dishwasher/washing machine/dryer/ had to be cleaned by us. Dishwasher malfunction dealt with very promptly. Hob malfunction not fixed.
