The Red Lion Lodge was delightful. Warm and cosy with good equipment especially in the kitchen. The settees were very comfortable as were the beds. It would have been good to have a bedside table with side lamp so I didn't have to get out of bed to switch the light out. I actually used the small table from the nest of 3 in the living room and took a lamp from the upstairs bedroom. The shower was wonderful and I was so pleased the height of the shower head was adjustable. Loved the dressed sandstone blocks which made up the interior walls. Would definitely go back there again.

Beautiful cottage in quiet location no local amentities but pub next door with lovely bar / restaurant. Only draw back was freezer which was in a cupboard on the floor rather than on a stand as difficult to get down to with my arthritis ☺☺☺☺☺

It was a lovely lodge, it was just a shame it didn't have its own garden to sit out in and also for the dogs to have aroam and play.

The cottage was well furnished and nice and warm. However, when we arrived we were disappointed to find a grill pan and rack which were greasy and pots and pans that were sticky and not clean. The dishwasher soon sorted these things out. Not enough cutlery and plates to avoid having the dishwasher on frequently though. Some sort of casserole dish to fit in the oven or microwave would have also been useful. Apart from that we had an enjoyable week, the pub literally 20 paces away. If you are bringing your dog, dogs are allowed in the beer garden though not in the pub itself. Would we return - yes!
