Spent 4 lovely nights at this beautiful cottage set within the owners grounds in a stunning location. The photographs dont do it justice! The facilities within the cottage suited our family perfectly; we have two daughters aged 14 and 4. They were excited to sleep in the spacious loft area, sit and read and play games up there. Outside there are glorious views of perfect Cheshire! We thoroughly enjoyed the walks nearby and saw plenty of wild birds, rabbits and squirels. A great base to explore from. Friendly owners. Would we go back? Absolutely! It was truly beautiful.

For over 40 years we've rented cottages all over the UK, Scotland and Ireland but never have we had such a complete equiped place like Red House Farm Cottage. Everything you need was there, fantastic. As it didn't spoil a single moment of our stay we would have been happy with a coffeemachine. Fully deserved a 10 from us and more so after Chelsea's FA Cup win which will make the owner very happy.

An excellent week spent here. The owners are welcoming and leave you to enjoy your time there but can knock the door if you need any assistance. There are spectacular views from the patio over to the village nearby and the hills beyond. It is so quiet and peaceful that we were able to sleep with the window open. We've been to over 30 cottages in the past 15 or so years and this easily tops the list, this truly is an excellent property.

A really warm welcome to a beautiful setting. The garden was great for children and the cottage has plenty of space. We loved waking up to the birdsong. No need for a telly in the corner!

A lovely, very well equipped cottage that is perfect for a couple or family with young children. The main room (kitchen/dining room/living room) is very spacious with plenty of space for the to be relaxing, eating and cooking at the same time. The beds are really comfy with memory foam mattresses and the Tardis-like upstairs twin room provides a whole separate space with a sofa, loads of floor space for games (or baby's toys!) and even a reading gallery. The cottage is set in a very peaceful area and has a number of walks literally on the doorstep with the Whitegate Way a short distance away. It is also within a short drive of Chester, Chester Zoo, Biddulph Grange Gardens, Dunham Massey and Delamere Forest, so plenty to keep you busy. One thing to note as a previous review mentioned is that the only bathroom (which is lovely with a huge shower, heated floors and a large bath) is accessible from the master bedroom on the ground floor, so you need to be OK with whoever is staying in the upstairs twin room potentially wandering through the master bedroom to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. The owners have done a fantastic job of giving this cottage a real wow factor and equipped it so well for families (the washing machine was very much needed when you have a 6 month old baby and enjoy muddy walks). We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent cottage in a great location for a couple or small family, twin bedroom guests need to go into master bedroom to access the only toilet/ bathroom in the cottage so make sure your happy about this before you book, not an ideal set up for two couples,we had to split the group and stay in a nearby hotel at extra cost, apart from this it’s a great cottage.
