A lovely cottage in great location, ideal for stepping outside for great walks or activities on Loch Earn. Reasonably equipped, although the TV was frustrating in that it loses signal (SKY box) all the time and seemed to be weather dependent which made no sense for a satellite signal. We ended up only really being able to watch things on iPlayer which luckily is on the TV. Electric heating was nice and warm with convector heating to back up the storage heating. Plenty of hot water and good shower too. On the downside, the decor is tired (like visiting an elderly relative...), and the sofa/chairs are stained and need either deep cleaned or replaced. Living-room carpet also in dire need of deep cleaning from muddy feet and dogs. Beds really firm to the extent of being actually uncomfortable. One single bed was OK so my son said. Kitchen layout could do with being revamped, why not place the fridge in the larder cupboard space and move the washing machine!? Big garden great for sitting out when the weather was nice, and dog could run around. Small village shop for essentials. Close to Comrie and Crieff for usual weekly shop supplies. Fantastic play park just opposite. Overall a nice cottage, but as mentioned could do with some updating.

My family and I have been to the Rannoch a few times beforehand and always loved staying there, cottage is cosy, spacious and has everything you need and more. Only thing I would say is the beds are a little rock hard and can hurt the back a bit and we found a few kitchen utensils unwashed and covered in grease which made us a little uncomfortable to witness but otherwise nothing else is at fault. Dog loved the size of the garden to roam in and the views are stunning. I would recommend the cottage and even stay again as well.

This is a very comfortable cottage, set in beautiful scenery and suited us very well with everything we needed for our week's stay. We like walking and there were plenty routes to choose from. The weather was lovely so having a garden to sit out in when we returned was an added bonus. There isn't much in St Fillan's but Comrie, Crieff and Lochearnhead are within easy reach.
