Ramblers Rest lies in a peaceful village and is perfectly placed for exploring both the north and south Devon coasts.

After a busy day exploring or just simply somewhere to unwind, Ramblers Rest in the village of Lapford is a worthy destination. This very well presented, terraced cottage lies in the heart of the village. With well laid out accommodation and a great front courtyard to sit and watch the world go by, the cottage is ideal for a young family or couples. The cottage is within walking distance of the local pub and a well-stocked shop and garage just a short distance away. The town of Crediton has a good range of shops and local amenities. Slightly farther afield is Exeter with its historic city centre, cathedral and an excellent shopping area. On Dartmoor, there are plenty of walks for all ages and abilities to enjoy this stunning and dramatic area, as well as some pretty villages with pubs and tea rooms. Towards the coast there are many fine beaches and coves including Saunton, Woolacombe and Westward Ho! Trips to the picturesque Lundy Island can be arranged from the pier at Bideford. There are numerous places of interest close by including the RHS gardens at Rosemoor, Dartington Crystal and the historic fishing village at Clovelly. Visit the last castle to be built in England at Castle Drogo, owned by the National Trust. There is golf at Okehampton and Ashbury or you can hire a bike and cycle the Tarka Trail at Great Torrington. Shop 700 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

Nice clean cottage, in a good location, good pub only five mins away, no garden but nice front area to sit out in and enjoy the sun. Good size bedroom and very comfy king size bed, would recommend this cottage to stay in. Very dog friendly and nice wood burning stove.
