Really comfortable accommodation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was extremely windy whilst we were there and it was lovely to be cosy and warm watching the dramatic scenery outside.

This was our second trip to Dungeness but the first time staying in the lovely Radar. We love the starkness of the surrounding area and then to step into the extremely stylish interior of Radar, you instantly feel calm and relaxed. We had such a lovely well earned break and enjoyed being just the two of us. We loved all the features of the house, appreciating the designer fixtures /furniture and architectural design, but with such good insulation, felt far too hot even after turning the heating right down. We also went fully equipped knowing there are limited shops nearby, but felt that a nice touch would have been to at least provide a pint of milk and a loaf of bread especially after paying top prices! Also there was no mirror near to a socket, making hair and make-up very difficult. We did feel a little uneasy about parking so far away from the property as all the other properties have adjacent parking spaces.

If you like modern, minimalistic design, this is the place for you. Every inch is perfect. From the great lighting, the local wool throw blankets to the Iittala tableware. The design of the house itself is fabulous. Straight out of a magazine. For some people it might seem small, but it feels like an absolute luxury hideaway for two. With the best views, colours that match these views and a spa to die for. We couldn't fault it.

Second time we have stayed at radar..just perfect position on the beach at dungerness, very wild and desolate. Absolutely beautiful place using organic fabrics, and a natural feel, to every thing. Very neutral colours have been used throughout giving a very relaxed feel to the place. Because it is so airtight it does get very stuffy and hot inside opening the window doesn’t help that much due to the wind... The reason I have marked it down is that it extremely expensive for a two person property, also there was a problem this time with the cleanliness of the place, the floor area had not been cleaned for a long time the dust and moths/flys, fluff etc under the bed you could see whilst sitting in the lounge area, also under the window seating and in the kitchen. One of the light bulbs was out beside the bed too. I did start to clean the floor but stopped as I was paying a lot of money for the privilege!..I will admit they came the next day to clean....but that is not the point. Lots of things to do and see in the area making it an ideal base for days out, just walking, or watching the sea

Enjoyed my stay at the Radar. Amazing and unique place and beautiful and modern on the inside. It is intriguing for people who pass by and are curious what the building/cottage is. Since there is a path towards the beach and also a parking area not far from the cottage this unsurprising, though. It did not bother me and mostly people stick to the “official” path anyway. A fantastic cottage and a wonderful and very comfortable place to relax in a breath taking scenery. It can get rather warm in the cottage but I thoroughly recommend staying here.
