The cottage is lovely. It does have a secure dog proof garden which our dog really enjoyed. The location is peaceful. We would happily book this cottage again.

We were on our way to another cottage in the Bodmin area but had a call to say that the heating had broken (November break) and they would find us a similar cottage....all I can say is " it was meant to be"! Lovely cottage, warm, cosy and secluded. Had a lovely weeks stay, very helpful and friendly owner and caretaker, loads of interesting and picturesque places to visit and so peaceful and relaxing. Would fully recommend to anyone wanting to get away from it all!!

We spent 2 weeks at the Quarrmans Cottage at the beginning of October and we absolutely loved it! The cottage was remote enough to escape the outside world, yet was a 10 minute drive to Callington for supplies. We used the cottage as a base for touring Devon and Cornwall and with Bodmin Moor on the door step and Dartmoor a short drive drive away, it is just what we wanted. As the owners of two Border Terrors, Charley and Sam, the cottage gardens were secure and there were lovely walks down to the field and along the river. Thank you to the owners, Barry and Alison, for a lovely and memorable holiday.

The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The main problem was the inside of the cottage was dirty - full of dust and cobwebs.

We have just come back from a wonderful week at Quarrymans cottage ! Not only were Alison and Barry very welcoming but also very helpful with anything they could help with, even going to the trouble if sourcing local take-away for us when we had some friends visit . We were welcomed with a wonderful cream tea and even shared their locally grown veg ! Our 3 dogs loved it here and felt very at home . The tiled floors downstairs ideal with dogs and the garden was amazing for them and even better was the river on the site ! Absolutely stunning spot and out jack Russell loved looking for stones there . The house was well equipped with everything you need . I really don’t understand one of the last reviews saying that the bats were an issue ? We sadly only saw a couple and hoped to see more . As the cottage is situated in the middle of the country side you would expect to see some wildlife !! It is very quiet and peaceful here and a great escape from city life ! We hope to visit again . Many thanks for a fantastic time (The Perry’s and Dogs 🐕

Response on behalf of the owner: We'd love to have you back, you were so enthusiastic including your son swimming in our freezing river....it was very hot. Your dogs were amazing. I only wish Buster had been able to meet you all.
