Great house, obviously recently refurbished, very clean and comfortable. Great location, car was put in garage and not used until we came home. Easy walk to centre of Bowness and the Lake. Balcony is a bonus, lovely to sit out in the sunshine after a busy day.

This was a great place to stay. We have had a couple of similar rentals in the same road and this has been the best so far. It has an actual view of the upper lake, not just some trees, and is clean as a whistle. The recently updated bathroom has a good shower with an additional waterfall head feature and great pressure. There is plenty of crockery, etc and games, books and DVDs for those rainy days. There are only a couple of minor points. I generally like a firm mattress and I did sleep well but, be warned, the mattresses are hard! While the storage heaters kept the house warm enough, some instructions on how to adjust them and the new electric radiator in the main bedroom would be useful. (The fan heater in the fireplace was used and was very cosy). Finally, there was no washing machine in the kitchen, which is unusual. There was one in the massive and empty ground floor garage, along with a tumble dryer, but they were not connected up and I didn't feel I should. As we had an extremely wet week, access to these would have been useful. We have often needed washing and drying facilities for walking gear as we travel at Halloween so making these available would be a desirable option. I don't want to end on a negative note. As I said, these are only minor points and overall we were extremely happy with our stay and wouldn't hesitate to book again. Thanks!

Comfortable, warm house. Spotlessly clean. Plenty of cupboard space in the kitchen and bedrooms.
