Explore the breathtaking Jurassic Coast, with its pretty seaside villages, harbours and stunning beaches.

In a great location in west Dorset, just outside Bridport, 1 mile from the famous World Heritage Jurassic Coast and near Lyme Regis, this detached family home has two four poster bedrooms (one en-suite) and lovely views over rolling countryside. The old market town of Bridport, with its weekly markets, is on your doorstep, as is West Bay, scene of the TV series ’Broadchurch’. Wander around its quaint harbour, or enjoy some boating, fishing, fossil hunting or simply soaking up the lovely seaside atmosphere. All along the coast you can find little seaside resorts, such as Eype, Seatown, Charmouth, Lyme Regis, Sidmouth and Seaton. There is wonderful, scenic coastal walking to be had around this superb coastline, with perhaps a walk up to the top of Golden Cap, the highest cliff in the south, where panoramic views can be found. Within easy driving, visit Forde Abbey and Gardens, sample local wine at Salway Ash, or maybe view some local craft at Broadwindsor Craft Centre and enjoy scones and tea afterwards. Further afield, family attractions include Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum, Pecorama at Beer, Weymouth with its Sea Life Centre and Jurassic Skyline tower, or Crealy Great Adventure Park near Exeter. Fishing and clay shooting can be found just ¼ of a mile away. Beach 1 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

A peaceful and relaxing start to 2019 for the whole family. Quarr Cottage is an extremely comfortable and well designed family retreat. Well equipped kitchen, very good beds to sleep in and modern bathrooms make this a high quality cottage break.

For our three generations of our family, this place couldn't have been better. The equipment, accessories and facilities were great. The local internet standard was not great but OK for a week. Locally there were good shops and take always. The junction at the end of Quarr lane was a challenge and could be made safer if there was a traffic mirror on the opposite side of the road.

Just spent a lovely week at Quarr cottage so well equipped & comfortable in a lovely setting & Bakewell tart was very much appreciated as was welcome pack We were there with our children & grandchildren 9yrs 6yrs & 2 months It was are first time to the area (although had been to Poole & Bournemouth) loved Lyme Regis But glad we found park & ride 😉 not the best place to find parking ! The only drawback is coming out of Quarr Lane onto A35 could do with a mirror to see on coming traffic as it's a very busy road! But the location lovely cottage & views were wonderful so made up for that 😉

The only reason I have given 9's is because I don't give 10's, however for Quarr I was tempted. Only draw back was the sun is not on the back patio in the evening. We have rented places where it has been difficult or even impossible to cook a proper roast dinner for the full occupancy of the cottage - no problem here. The space in three of the four bedrooms allowed people to have space to themselves if needed didn't feel cramped in any way.

This was our second visit to this cottage which speaks volumes! It is a very well equipped place to stay, the owners have clearly put a lot of thought into making it feel homely! There is always an excellent welcome pack which is topped by an amazing homemade Bakewell tart! It is situated on an elevated position which gives it superb views & it has a large garden. The only negative we can find is the access junction which is potentially very dangerous, great caution required, sadly there is nothing that could be done to change this!

Perfect for families young and old and for pets. Great location for visiting nearby villages and main town of Bridport.

We loved being at the cottage, thoroughly enjoying the view both when green, and when white with snow. Lots of attractive villages and beaches around. The cottage was fully equiped with everything we needed and more besides.
