Spent a week here with my wife mother-in-law and an aunt, plus a cockerpoo. We found the cottage to be warm and spotlessly clean the view from the master bedroom was lovely, we could watch the local wild life in the warm. Namely the red deer rabbits and pheasants. The local inn does a lovely Sunday carvery, and it is dog friendly it's called the Rest and Be Thankful. Plenty of places of interest nearby a visit to Dunster village and castle are with a look. Wonderful views from Dunkery a beacon which is about 3 miles from the cottage .

Loved this barn conversion. Five of us and a dog stayed at Red Deer cottage. Plenty of space, nice and clean - lovely view and lots of peace and quiet. Great places to walk the dog and a beach not so far away. Definitely one of the nicest places to stay.

A first class barn conversion. What lies inside the stark exterior is truly breathtaking. The overall design and quality furnishings were exceptional. Bathrooms were spotless as were the rooms. We were there in late October and the cottage was lovely and warm. In fact we turned the heating off a lot of the time as the cottage is very insulated making it ideal for a winter break. I would not hesitate to recommend this cottage. The setting is totally peaceful with just the owls hooting at night and the stunning Exmoor starry sky makes this a very special place to stay if you enjoy being at one with nature.
