This cottage is ideal for those wanting complete peace & quiet. The accommodation is adequate and provides all that is needed with magnificent views across the valley to the forest. There are many walking trails right from the door. It is important to note however, that anyone who is infirm is made aware that you cannot park next to the cottage and have to carry bags etc up a slope then up seven deep concrete steps. Access to the property is along a single track road for about 3 miles which ends at a field gate. You have to get out of the car and open the gate which contains sheep. Then drive across the field track to another gate that has to be opened and closed. We found this difficult as we have arthritis and carrying the bags up the steps was hard. If we were younger we would definitely return as it is a lovely spot, but sadly the access did not work for us.

This is a lovely well equipped and comfortable cottage. You can walk for miles in the surrounding country. There are 2 things that I think are worth mentioning. 1) garden is not suitable for toddlers or anyone unsteady on their feet it has steep slabed steps in a few places. 2) the drive to the cottage from the main road is on a long single track road and whilst most of the time you didn't meet any other cars the narrowness of the lanes meant I ended up with a few scratches up the car BUT this is nothing to do with the owner or the property just one to maybe be aware of. You have to go out abit to find anything to do with children. But if you want a relaxing break to unwind and do a bit of walking this would be the place for you. The setting is just unbelievably beautiful.
