Crundale is only a few miles outside the bustling market town of Haverfordwest, the ancient county town of Pembrokeshire. One hundred years ago, it was the second-largest port in Wales; now cafes and shops line its waterfront on the River Cleddau, with the view of the majestic ruined medieval castle beyond. Haverfordwest has an array of small local boutique shops and beautiful cafes and bakeries interspersed with some more well-known chain stores; a popular Farmers Market is held here every Thursday.
