Les Chenes is a very pretty house in a large garden which, unfortunately, was quite uncared for and disappointing. When we arrived the lawns had been cut but the paved patio was covered in well established weeds the worst of which, in order to enjoy sitting out, we had to pull up. In addition we were very disappointed that there were no cushions for the outside furniture. The downstairs was quite good quality but upstairs had been neglected decoration wise. We found the beds quite uncomfortable. It is a shame as the house is in a very pretty, quite area and Verneuille-sur-Avre is a lovely town well worth visiting.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pullay. The cottage is well equipped and was very clean on arrival. The rooms are spacious, the beds were comfortable and we had a deer and red squirrels to keep us company in the large garden. We would rate the property higher if some basic TLC is undertaken. While none of the issues had a direct impact on the enjoyment of our stay we found several things that require attention such as a few loose floor tiles in the hall, power outlets which were out of order or loose in their wall mountings and internal doors which need a door stop fitting to stop them hitting the wall. The large patio style doors which open in to the garden also need adjustment to stop them scratching the wooden floor in the living room. We had the power trip out six times for reasons I could not establish over the course of the week too. As said all relatively minor issues but they combined to make the property feel less than fully finished. Overall the cottage served us well as a base for touring and had everything we needed. The garden was a hit with the kids who spent a lot of time on the swing while the grown ups relaxed in the afternoon sunshine.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for you review and remarks. We are glad you enjoyed the area. You were the first one to mention these things and they have been taken care of since your visit. About the power, we have never had this problem since; there were maybe thunderstorms or roadworks nearby. Hope to see you back soon.
