We had a lovely break and it was just what we needed. Ideally I would have like information about how to recycle our rubbish, the garden had lots of dog poo in from other dogs which have stayed previously. The cottage wasn't as private as I was expecting from the brochure.

Lovely cottage and great location. This was the second time we had stayed at Psalter Barn. The first time was in the middle of the hot weather and we were worried by the amount of flies in the property which seemed impervious to fly spray. This time it was cooler and we were again troubled by lots of flies and this is the reason we regrettably feel we would not stay again as they made me feel very uncomfortable.

This was our longest stay in the Area having been for weekends and day trips before and Psalter Barn proved to be a good base. We found some great places and we intend to come back and investigate some more.

Lovely place to visit, unfortunately there was a vast amount of flies within the property upon arrival I appreciate this is more than likely due to the property been aired out before arrival, time of the year and location however this was extremely of putting. There was absolutely no phone reception which was lovely however there was no map or directions to any local attractions or the local pub which was difficult to locate without the use of our phones, perhaps including a local map or some postcodes for the local pubs and attractions for future guests. The oven did not work which I would advise having someone look over especially at this time of the year when bbqs will not be necessary.

Enjoyed our holiday - peaceful and quiet ... plenty of cupboard space in this cottage. Not much of a view from the cottage .. plenty of walks in the countryside though

We had a lovely time at Psalter Barn. The weather was glorious and the cottage was everything we had hoped for. We especially appreciated the private area at the rear of the property and the hot tub.
