The cottage is in need of some tlc. It was not clean. The furniture is old and the chairs in the sitting room are unstable with stitching coming away. The coffee table wobbles and really needs to be replaced. There is one shower in reality and it doesn’t work well. We stayed with our three children and had hoped to sit in the garden while they played- the garden furniture it not capable of being used. If we sat on it, I fear it would have collapsed. The patio needs clearing of moss. Overall a very disappointing cottage which has no business being classified as luxury.

Everything about the cottage is fantastic, the only thing we could fault was the garden furniture which needs some TLC or replacing.

The cottage was lovely, very clean and kitted out very well. It was ideally situated for Longleat and Stourhead which are both great places to visit, Lacock Abbey and village is only 40 minutes away and is well worth a visit. The weather wasn’t very kind to us and parking on the grass verge opposite the house was not ideal as it got very muddy and we had trouble getting the car on and off, thankfully it is down a dead end road so we didn’t have any traffic to contend with. We would love to visit again, perhaps in the sunshine.
