Potters Pad is a beautifully presented apartment situated within the heart of the historic market town of Alnwick, packed with charming cobbled streets and historic buildings. Formerly a working malthouse, this unique building is steeped in history and has been converted into a collection of luxury apartments, which simply ooze charm and character.
Potters Pad is situated on the first floor which can be accessed via stairs or a fully operational lift if preferred. The living space is open plan and tastefully furnished throughout. There are two bedrooms making this quality property a suitable choice for couples, families or friends. Set all on one level, you enter the property into the hallway leading you straight through into the modern kitchen/dining/living room which includes everything needed to cook up meals for the whole family. From the living area you will have access to patio doors leading to the garden, perfect for al fresco dining on those gorgeous summer evenings. Across the hall you will find two double bedrooms and the bathroom. This stylish master bedroom occupies a kingsize bed with free standing wardrobes and a TV for those more relaxed nights in, a second bedroom occupies two single beds.
When you’re ready to begin exploring this historic town, begin with a trip to the incredible and famous Alnwick Castle, one of the largest inhabited castles in the UK and used as Hogwarts when filming scenes for the Harry Potter films so it’s a must-visit for any fans, with Harry Potter related events organised here throughout the year as well as guided tours. The Alnwick Garden is also an exciting visit with its spectacular interpretation of a formal garden, including the Grand Cascade waterfall, poison garden and largest tree house in Europe where guests can dine in the restaurant. Heading 4 miles east is the picture-perfect coastal village of Alnmouth where there is a gorgeous golden sandy beach.
A short drive west brings you to the small town of Rothbury, found nestled at the foot of the Simonside Hills and where the River Coquet ebbs and flows. Potters Pad makes an extremely comfortable base from which to explore the beautiful 20-mile stretch of Northumberland Heritage coastline, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to the east, and the wild and lonely expanses of the heather-capped Cheviot Hills to the west. Beach within 5 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant’s a two-minute walk. Discover your own Alnwick adventure from the stylish comforts of Potters Pad!
