Located just a few minutes from the harbour and beach, this stylish ground floor apartment sits in a beautiful area with much to do for all ages.

This stylish ground floor holiday apartment sits in one of Charlestown’s quiet developments, just a few minutes from the historic harbour. Formerly a foundry, the property has been sympathetically converted and retains much of the feel of the original building. Charlestown, an area of historic importance, feels untouched by modern life and is home to tall sailing ships, craft shops, a general store, award-winning restaurants, cafés, local pubs with live music and a small secluded beach. The village has been used as a setting for TV and films on many occasions including Poldark. It also has a heritage and shipwreck centre with relics from the Titanic. The surrounding area is abundant with National Trust properties and gardens such as Lanhydrock House, or visit Pinetum Park, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project. The stunning South West Coastal Path is easily reached on foot and provides stunning views and coastal walks, along with secluded beaches and pretty villages dotted along its shore. Porthpean to the west has a sailing club, while Carlyon Bay to the east has a beach restaurant and a links golf course. A short drive will bring you to Fowey, Lostwithiel, Newquay, Padstow and the north coast, a mecca for surfing and a completely different coastline for you to explore. Golf, cycling, horse riding and sailing are all available close by. Beach 550 yards. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

The only thing that spoilt the apartment is that we were given 2 postcodes for the address, both of which were wrong. We would have been driving round forever had the owner not been understanding about me waking her up at midnight. The apartment itself was perfect. Couldn’t have asked for better

Really happy with the apartment and goodies provided to welcome us. Also, the added extras of washing up liquid, tea towels, kitchen roll, etc, etc. Loved the double room & en suite, 2 bathrooms are a bonus. Kitchen really good size and nice to be part of the lounge. Been to Charlestown many times for a visit but lovely to be able to walk down to the harbour every day with 2 beaches to stroll along. Sea view between the house rooves, is a welcome sight for us midlanders! Would book this again.

Poldark appartment was in a perfect location to explore Cornwall. The welcome pack was really appreciated after a long journey. We could not fault the appartment and it was good to stay in Charlestown the week the regatta was on. Wish we had stayed tor two weeks as there was so much to see and do.

Overall very nice. It is a little cramped with 4 adults. The furniture taking up lots of space is too large for that space. The welcome pack is generous, wine, milk, soft drinks, scones, cream , jam. Wardrobe in double bedroom too big for room. These are minor niggles, lovely location easy access to Eden project and Gardens of Heligon. Charlestown great for all day eating and socialising. Very close to coast path for walking. Conclusion recommended.

I was very disappointed with this apartment. I booked it specifically because it has two bathrooms. The main bathroom just has a shower attachment on the taps with no shower curtain or wall mounting so can only be used sitting or kneeling in the bath. The on-suite bathroom just has one of those crappy rainfall showers in a very small cabinet. So it was a week of uncomfortable showers. The furniture in the lounge is much too large for the room and not very comfortable. The light shade in the hall is too low and is heavy with sharp edges. All this is a shame because if was a nice apartment with well equipped kitchen. The balcony was nice to sit on and, despite being near the main road, was not excessively noisy.

The apartment was beautifully furnished and well located. The owner had provided thoughtful welcome gifts, which were much-appreciated.
