Plas Cottage is perched on the edge of woodlands with distant sea views over the beach of Aberporth and further out over Cardigan Bay. It’s the perfect location for exploring this rugged and sublime north Ceredigion border. It sits in a quiet cul-de-sac and is just a short walk from the Welsh coastal resort of Aberporth where you can relax on the golden sandy beach with your family, go rock pooling or taste the locally caught sea food at the pub which overlooks Aberporth Beach. Plas Cottage is a semi-detached property which has been thoughtfully furnished, is light and airy throughout and has a large decked area overlooking the garden from which you can take in the sea air and views out over Cardigan Bay.
Bottlenose dolphins and basking sharks are a frequent sight along this north Ceredigion coastline. For the opportunity to get a little closer to these beautiful sights, take a boat trip out from the nearby market town of Cardigan, then enjoy a lazy afternoon in the town browsing antique and craft shops. Take a short drive inland to Cilgeran where you will discover the Welsh Wildlife Centre on the banks of the River Teifi. Further north along this scenic coastline is Aberaeron with its multi-coloured houses and stunning harbour, or for the more adventurous, travel south for a day out at Oakwood, Wales’ largest theme park which is sure to entertain the whole family. Beach 800 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

a very comfortable well equipped property. lovely welcome pack brochures show back view first rather than front so look carefully at picks. but nevertheless highly recommended.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments Cathy. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Such a shame that the picture issue has greatly affected your review score. Our pictures were taken by a cottages representative and so we feel they are an accurate representation of Plas Cottage. Unfortunately, the front fence has been removed for safety reasons with the high winds we sometimes experience during the winter being so close to the coast. Although we do not feel it takes away from the property and the general outlook.

A nice, modern house, on a quiet road. Very comfortable lounge, useful kitchen diner, comfortable beds and a nice decking area for sitting outside. The village is quite small, but popular with families as it has 2 joined beaches, with safe swimming and life guards. Some nice cafes for coffee and ice creams. As with all the local villages it is on a steep hill, so we came back fitter than before!

Plas Cottage is in a quiet location, and easy to find. The house is nicely decorated and is comfortably furnished. The garden is a good size, completely enclosed, ideal for those who take a dog. The house is well equipped, clean and the owners left a welcome pack, which was a nice touch. It included the basics one would need, ie milk, tea, coffee and more. There are a few walks nearby and the beach is about a mile away. The walk back is uphill, although not steep. Aberporth has a few facilities, but there are much better ones in Cardigan, a short drive away. It is well placed for touring the area, and I would certainly return to Plas Cottage if coming this way again. I would recommend the cottage to others.
