Nice quiet location which is what we were looking for and perfectly big enough for the both of us. However the cottage was cold even in summer and towels felt damp on arrival. Slightly damp smell to the whole cottage. Heating was needed to dry towels on a clothes horse. Could do with updating as dated now e.g wallpaper peeling away, mould around sinks and in shower. Dirty cups found in the cupboard. Cobwebs everywhere. Comfier chairs in the seating area wouldn't go a miss. Summerhouse is no longer in use. It wasn't mentioned to us at all. Hosts were friendly.

Awful. Cold and unwelcoming. smelt of damp. No hot water after about 9am. owners solution was boil a kettle. Really bad for the money I paid. I expected better.

Response on behalf of the owner. When the guest complained about the hot water, I checked the timing system and it was working correctly, but I turned it on permanently which will give consistently hot water. The smell of damp is caused by not ventilating the bathroom properly. All stone cottages are colder inside than the ambient temperature that is why we supply heaters.
