Second time at this 'cottage' and enjoyed Robin's company again. Fantastic experience with beautiful setting and three lakes to row on. The antics of the menagerie of animals kept us entertained (swans and cygnets, ducks and geese, wallabies, emus, peacocks, ponies, donkeys, goats of all kinds, different types of hens, guinea pigs, rabbits and alpacas). A tiny kid was born while we were there which added to the experience. The fresh eggs in the welcome pack were delicious and Robin brought us more. My husband was particularly interested in Robin's huge collection of vintage tractors. Location was convenient for visiting National Trust sites and Newbury with its history and lovely market. We didn't manage a trip on the canal this time but were told it was well worth doing. The Watermill Theatre at the village of Bagnor is a must. The only negative for our family was the lack of internet access.

Just returned from our fourth year! * Superb bungalow, superb grounds, superb wildlife and animals, superb owner. * Pubs and restaurants welcome children and are really good with high standards. * Five minutes walk to the Craven Arms with good food and large playground. * VisitThe Fox and Goose in Peasemore village with excellent food. * Visit Kintbury village for wonderful produce from the butcher or sit by the river and watch the boats go by with a drink in hand from the pub. * Marlborough, Hungerford and Newbury are all worth a visit. * Zoos, castle, bike trails, walking all within reach from Pine View on Willow Farm. Just booked for 2019 which will be our fifth year! What more can I say other than this is in exceptional place to stay on holiday.

It met our requirements well for a weekend. We didn’t go out and about so cannot comment on the local amenities.

A beautiful cottage on a working farm, great for kids to feed the animals. There were plenty to view and that was in Winter! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay including boating on the lake. It's a lovely place with plenty of day trips and things to do. Would recommend this for any group of people. The property was absolutely spotless and had everything we needed. Robin and his family were lovely too, they were always ready for a chat and questions from our 5 year old son.

Pine View was a lovely place to stay for our family. The kitchen was beautifully appointed and a pleasure to cook in. All the rooms are of a good size and the two bathrooms made looking after two little boys very easy. The 'welcome pack' was lovely, especially the cup cakes. Our Grandsons enjoyed going to feed the animals and birds every morning and the eldest was very taken with the boat and boathouse.

Nice Cottage at reasonable price and distance from London. Big kitchen and all rooms but one have very decent size. Garden is nice, with lake and animals. Great if you have young children. No need to go far to have entertainment. Caretaker was very friendly.

8 of us had a fantastic weekend at Pine View. The cottage itself is spacious and very comfortable and we really appreciate the efforts made to welcome us in terms of leaving a food hamper for us. The land itself is beautiful and going boating on the lake was one of the highlights of the trip, another was feeding the farm animals. Very friendly farmers and lots of amenities only a short drive away.
