There is an open plan living, dining and kitchen area which opens out to a private decking with loch and mountain views. Pine Needle Lodge has been completely refurbished to a high standard. Due to the remote location and surrounded by mountains there is no TV in the chalet, USB ports are in all the rooms too.
Pine Needle Lodge is great for outdoor enthusiasts that are cycling The Great Glen, hiking the surrounding Munros or having a leisurely stroll along the cycle paths. There are small beaches dotted along the loch, which are accessible from the lodge. Paddle board etc can be done from the lodge, however powered craft are not permitted. Fishing is permitted in specific areas, and only by direct verbal consent of the property manager, who lives on-site.
The location is also great as it lies so close to Fort William, Fort Augustus, Inverness and the Isle of Skye, which you can visit whilst staying on this tranquil sanctuary. Definitely one to book in advance is the Steam Train to Mallaig from Fort William which goes over the Glenfinnan Viaduct that was in the Harry Potter films! Beach 22 miles. Pub and restaurant 2 miles.
