Description

Piglet Barn is ideally placed for you to explore Norfolk and Suffolk – you’ll be spoilt for choice.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room with wooden floor/kitchen with tiled floor. 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin both with wooden floor. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Washer/dryer. Garden with patio and furniture.

These adjoining, semi-detached holiday properties are a superb base for exploring the delights of Norfolk and Suffolk. Commanding sweeping views over pretty, undulating countryside, Piglet Barn (ref E4732) and Gosling Barn (ref E5638) are a pair of spacious, architect-designed contemporary barn conversions with their own private terraces and lawns. These properties are set within the owner’s 2-acre grounds, just 5 miles from the attractive market town of Diss with fishing lakes and golf. Bury St Edmunds and the medieval city of Norwich with its cathedral, castle museum, galleries, cinemas, theatre and excellent shopping, are both within an easy drive, as is the quaint seaside town of Southwold on the Suffolk Heritage Coast. Cycling and walking enthusiasts will head for Thetford Forest, whilst bird watchers and nature lovers can explore Redgrave and Lopham Fen (within walking distance), the Norfolk Broads and RSPB Minsmere. Bressingham Steam Museum and the floral gardens of Alan and Adrian Bloom are both 2 miles away. Shop 3 miles, pub ½ miles, restaurant 4 miles.

Both properties: Woodburner in living room included. Underfloor central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Freeview TV. DVD and small library. Stereo/CD. Ceramic hob. Electric oven. Microwave. Dishwasher. Wi-fi. Barbecue. Parking. Cycle store. No smoking. NB: Pond in garden.

What's not to like on this holiday cottage? It's in on a quiet lane behind a Granary (family house) in a beautiful landscaped garden. It's clean, it's well equiped, it has a magnificent view (at least we had, since the crop on the field was'nt full grown). The cottage is not far from Diss, where you'll find all ameneties. The owners, who live on site, are very friendly and welcoming. If I had to fault something, I would mention the showerhead. It was on the same hight as my shoulders. But watertemperature and jet were ok, so I don't complain about the shower ;-)

Lovely comfy and secluded cottage. Would definitely recommend and would happily book to return. Lovely owners who made us feel very welcome and some friendly resident sheep and chickens!
